Zigbang short-term rental: Your booking was confirmed, but you weren’t sure when you’d get paid
After listing a room on Zigbang and getting a booking, it can be hard to know when the money will arrive.
"The booking’s confirmed, so why haven’t I been paid yet?"
"They deduct 3.3%—how much will I actually receive?"
Zigbang starts processing your payout after the guest’s move-in is confirmed.
Confirm the move-in and add your payout account in advance to help avoid delays.
Here’s how Zigbang payouts work, what you’ll receive, and what can delay payment, based on Zigbang’s official landlord FAQ.
When and how does Zigbang pay you?
Do I get paid as soon as a booking is confirmed?
No. Payout processing starts after the guest’s move-in is confirmed.
According to Zigbang, rent, building fees, and cleaning fees are sent to your registered payout account once move-in is confirmed.
The payout process starts when move-in is confirmed, not when the booking is confirmed.
What if the guest doesn’t tap “Move in”?
Move-in is confirmed automatically 24 hours after the scheduled move-in time, even if the guest doesn’t tap [Move in]. Your payout will then be processed.
A forgotten button tap won’t hold up your payout indefinitely.
Since processing starts at move-in confirmation, setting an earlier move-in time when you list your room can get your payout started sooner.
How long does a Zigbang payout take?
According to Zigbang, bank transfers arrive within 2 business days.
Card payments can take up to 7 business days, depending on the card issuer.
Step | Zigbang payout process |
|---|---|
① Booking confirmed | Guest completes payment |
② Move-in confirmed | Guest taps [Move in], or confirmation happens automatically 24 hours after the scheduled move-in time |
③ Payout processing starts | Processing starts after move-in confirmation; a 3.3% fee is deducted automatically |
④ Payment arrives | Bank transfer within 2 business days; card payment within up to 7 business days |

How much will you receive after the 3.3% fee?
What does Zigbang’s 3.3% fee apply to?
The fee is 3.3% of the total booking amount, including VAT, and is deducted automatically when your payout is processed.
The booking amount includes rent, building fees, and cleaning fees.
Deposits aren’t included in the payout calculation, so they aren’t charged a fee.
How much would you receive for a one-month booking worth ₩1,200,000?
Here’s a sample calculation for illustration.
Let’s say the booking includes ₩1,000,000 in rent, ₩100,000 in building fees, and ₩100,000 in cleaning fees, for a total of ₩1,200,000.
① Total booking amount: ₩1,200,000
② 3.3% fee: ₩39,600
③ Payout after fees: ₩1,160,400
Don’t calculate based on rent alone. Include building and cleaning fees to estimate your actual payout.

If your payout is delayed, check these things
Can a Zigbang payout be delayed?
Yes. Zigbang lists a few reasons your payout may be delayed:
① Move-in confirmation is delayed
② There’s an issue verifying your payout account
③ Toss Payments identity verification isn’t complete
④ A dispute or deposit process is underway
As a landlord, you can take action on ② and ③.
Why do I need to verify my identity with Toss Payments?
After you add a payout account, Toss Payments—the company that handles your payouts—sends you an identity verification link through KakaoTalk.
Individual landlords and sole proprietors must complete verification to receive payouts.
If you didn’t get the link or can’t open it, Zigbang’s instructions say to contact support in the app.
What if my payout is on hold because of an account error?
You’ll receive a notice asking you to verify your account again.
Add a new account and complete real-name verification. Your payout will then be processed automatically.

How to add or change your payout account
When do I add a payout account?
You’ll be asked to add one when you approve your first booking.
Your payout may be put on hold if no account is registered, so add it as soon as you get your first booking.
Can a company or business receive payouts?
Yes. There’s no separate sign-up process for companies.
Add your business name, representative’s name, business registration number, and other details under Business and account info in Settings to receive payouts as a business, including a company.
How do I change my Zigbang payout account?
Change it in Landlord info settings.
Add the new account and complete real-name verification for the change to take effect.
The account holder’s name must match the landlord’s. You can’t receive payouts to someone else’s account.
You may not be able to register an account if the names don’t match.

What about taxes after you receive a payout?
Is income tax deducted from my payout?
No. Zigbang only deducts the 3.3% fee; it doesn’t withhold tax on rental income.
Landlords are responsible for reporting and paying taxes on rental income, and issuing records for rent, building fees, and cleaning fees.
For specific tax advice, check with the National Tax Service or a tax professional. (Based on Zigbang’s official guidance)
