January move-in dates are still closed—don’t miss out on long-stay guests this transfer season
Many hosts on Zigbang Short-Term Rentals haven’t opened their January calendars yet.
“January’s still a long way off. I can open my calendar later.”
“Zigbang has to review new listings. Do I really need to factor in that wait?”
Guests relocating for work have a set move-in date, so they start with rooms that are already available.
Here’s when to open your calendar to attract January movers—and why longer stays can work well for hosts.
We’ll also show you how to host long-stay guests on plott LIFE when Zigbang’s 12-week limit could leave you missing out.
When to open your January calendar for relocation stays
When should I open my January calendar?
We recommend opening it before December.
New Zigbang listings must pass review and be approved before renters can see them.
Reviews take up to 3 business days after submission, excluding weekends and public holidays.
For example, if you finish listing on Wednesday, December 30, review may take until Tuesday, January 5, excluding the January 1 holiday and the weekend.
Guests moving in Monday, January 4 may already have chosen another room by then.
①Enter listing details and photos accurately to speed up review
②Open January move-in dates on your calendar early
③Decide in advance how long extensions may be available so you can quickly answer long-stay inquiries

Why do January movers look for a place in December?
People with a confirmed January transfer need to finalize their rental before moving, so many start looking in December.
Many don’t have time to visit in person, so available rooms that fit their dates are more likely to be chosen first.
That’s why opening January dates in January may be too late. Rooms opened in December have a better chance of making their shortlist.
